Artist’s Statement | Saint Jamien

Saint Jamien is a California native now living in Baltimore, Maryland. She is inspired by the intense emotions that occur when seeking personal autonomy and self expression. Her work features iterations of the internalized and observed human experiences told through abstract images of those storied moments using collage, acrylic and oil. Saint Jamien serves as the patron saint of her creative mind, utilizing color and texture to express the feelings and events that can be difficult to put into words.
